Hello Fellow Tech Enthusiast!
I hope you’re ready to try something new! Google Gemini came out a few weeks back, and the possibilities for what you can create with AI have never been better than they are today. If you haven’t checked out the new Gemini 3 and all it’s capable of, now is the time to dig in. Check out this post from Google to get up-to-date on what’s new!
If you love being the first to try out new tech, you need to check out Google Labs. It’s basically Google’s public testing ground for their wildest, most experimental AI tools before they (potentially) graduate to products like Docs or Search. These are fun to play around with to see whats possible with AI.
Here are the coolest experiments you can play with right now…
🎨 The Creative Suite (FX & Media)
These are the heavy hitters for generative creativity. They run on Google's most advanced models.
1. Flow
What it is: A professional-grade AI filmmaking tool. It doesn't just make 3-second clips; it builds entire scenes. You can control the camera movement, lighting, and characters using the new Veo model. It’s perfect for storyboarding or creating cinematic shorts.

2. ImageFX
What it is: A text-to-image generator that focuses on control. Unlike other tools, it gives you "expressive chips"—little dropdown menus on your keywords—so you can quickly swap out photorealistic for abstract or sunset for moonlight without rewriting your whole prompt.
Try it here: https://labs.google/fx/tools/image-fx
3. MusicFX
What it is: A DJ station powered by AI. You type in a vibe (like "jazz piano in a cave" or "techno made of water sounds"), and it generates endless, looping audio tracks. It's surprisingly addictive for background focus music.

4. TextFX
What it is: A set of AI tools specifically for writers, rappers, and lyricists, developed in collaboration with Lupe Fiasco. It helps you brainstorm with tools like "Unfold" (expanding a word into a scene) or "Chain" (building word associations).

🧠 Ideation & Productivity
Tools to help you think faster, organize chaos, and learn smarter.
5. NotebookLM
What it is: Arguably the most useful tool on this list. You upload your own PDFs, Google Docs, or text files, and it becomes an expert on only that information. You can ask it questions, summarize complex reports, or even have it generate an "Audio Overview" where two AI hosts discuss your documents like a podcast. You can even generate a set of slides based upon your sources. Very fun tool to play around with…

6. Mixboard
What it is: The ultimate mood board. You can combine your own images with AI-generated textures, assets, and sketches on an infinite canvas. It’s designed for rapid visual brainstorming—great for designers or anyone planning a project.
Try it here: labs.google/mixboard
7. Say What You See
What it is: A game that teaches you how to "speak AI." You are shown an AI-generated image, and you have to guess the prompt that created it. It’s a fun way to train your brain to write better image prompts.
8. GenType
What it is: An alphabet creator. You can type a prompt (like "melted cheese" or "cyborg cables"), and it will generate all 26 letters of the alphabet made out of that material. Super fun for birthday parties for kids 😀 (Dinosaur letters anyone….)

🛠️ For Builders & Designers
No-code and low-code tools to build apps and interfaces in minutes.
9. Opal
What it is: A "text-to-app" builder. You simply describe a tool you need (e.g., "A calculator that splits bills based on who ate the most fries"), and Opal generates a functional mini-app for you.

10. Stitch
What it is: A dream tool for UI designers. You can upload a rough sketch or type a description, and it generates production-ready layouts and frontend code (HTML/CSS) that you can export directly to Figma or your codebase. You can also just do straight text to design, no rough sketch required!

11. AI Studio Build
What it is: Hidden inside Google's developer platform, this "Build" mode lets you generate full web apps (React or Angular) just by chatting. It can deploy your creation to the cloud in one click. Check out their gallery for some prebuilt ones, and the post below from Twitter to be amazed by what people are building.

💼 For Business
12. Pomelli
What it is: An entire marketing team in a box. It analyzes your business's website to understand your brand "DNA" and then generates on-brand social media posts, email copy, and marketing assets tailored to your style.

🔮 Experimental Fun
13. Food Mood
What it is: A fusion recipe generator. You pick two countries (e.g., Mexico and Japan), and it creates a fusion dish blending those cuisines, complete with a generated image of the final meal.

14. Viola the Bird
What it is: An interactive musical experiment where you control a cello-playing bird using your mouse. It uses AI to understand musical composition, so it (mostly) sounds good no matter what you do. Fun to try with young folks!

🔍 Search & Browser
AI features baked directly into the products you use daily.
15. AI Overviews (Search)
What it is: This is the big one—AI right in your Google Search results. It summarizes answers to complex questions so you don't have to click through ten blue links. With Gemini 3, this will even create interactive pages for your to use to learn more about the topic. Just click on AI mode the next time you do a Google Search to try it out, or go straight to AI mode using the link below.

16. AI in Chrome
What it is: Chrome now has built-in AI tools like "Tab Organizer" (which groups your 50 open tabs automatically), "Help me write" (for emails and forms), and custom AI theme generation. You can even chat with Gemini while you browse and ask questions and/or create content based upon the sites you are on. Very handy! (note this might not work if you use an EDU account with a BAA or HIPPA agreement).
Try it here: Open Chrome on your desktop, go to Settings (three dots menu) > Experimental AI, and toggle them on!
Thats all for this edition! If you found these fun, feel free to share with your friends online!
Happy experimenting! 🚀
